TOPIC: Wisdom For Preservation (Seeds Of Destiny 9 July 2026)
SCRIPTURE: There was a little city, and few men within it; and there came a great king against it, and besieged it, and built great bulwarks against it: Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man. Ecclesiastes 9:14-15
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Wisdom is a tool of deliverance, preservation, and survival in life and destiny.
Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2026 MESSAGE
Scripture makes it clear that wisdom preserves. Wisdom carries preservation power. Wisdom is a weapon and a tool of deliverance. Preservation of lives, destinies, families, and communities can happen by the agency of wisdom.
Ecclesiastes 7:17 says, Be not over much wicked, neither be thou foolish: why shouldest thou die before thy time?
This shows clearly that foolishness, which is the absence of wisdom, brings destruction.
Our anchor Scripture gives us a prophetic parable of how wisdom brought preservation. There was a little city with few men in it, and a great king came against that city and besieged it. But inside that city was found a poor wise man, and by his wisdom he delivered the city (Ecclesiastes 9:14-15). Wisdom became the weapon of deliverance and preservation in that besieged city.
The wisdom of God at work in a person’s life can help deliver families, preserve destinies, rescue communities, and protect loved ones from destruction.
In 2 Samuel 20:16-22, we have the story of a man called Sheba, the son of Bichri. The man brought danger upon the city of Abel because of his rebellion against King David. Joab and the army of Israel surrounded the city to destroy it because of one wrong man. They wanted to destroy an entire city because of a single man. This reveals the danger of the wrong association.
Then, a wise woman from the city of Abel, named Beth Maacah, arose. She spoke with wisdom and discernment and discovered what the problem was. How? Joab made it clear that the city was not the target; only Sheba was the issue (2 Samuel 20:16-21). The wise woman moved immediately in wisdom unto all the people, and they located Sheba, wherever he was hiding, and cut off his head, and cast it to Joab, and Joab blew a trumpet, and they retreated from the city. That was how destruction was averted from the city (2 Samuel 20:22). That city would have perished because of one man until wisdom arose for preservation.
Please be careful with who comes into your camp or house because a single wrong person in a house can bring destruction to the entire household. One wrong person in a family, business, vehicle, or environment can bring destruction to many people.
That was why Jonah’s presence on the ship almost destroyed everyone inside the vessel. May God deliver you from camping any Jonah in your ship. The wrong association can bring drastic destruction.
Beloved, wisdom preserves. Wisdom helps people identify dangers early, separate from destructive associations, make correct decisions, and escape traps of destruction. Many wrecked lives, marriages, businesses, and destinies would have been preserved had wisdom been applied on time.
REMEMBER THIS: Wisdom is a tool of deliverance, preservation, and survival in life and destiny.

- Ask God daily for the wisdom to make the right decisions.
- Avoid the wrong association.
- Apply Godly wisdom promptly in every area of your life.
PRAYER: Father, I receive the wisdom for preservation. Deliver me from every trap of destruction and preserve my life, family, destiny, and everything connected to me, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
