TOPIC – The Power Of Corporate Prayer (1) (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Devotional 25 July 2026)
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Psalm 132, Psalm 133, Titus 1, Titus 2
FIRE SCRIPTURE: Acts 12:4-12 (KJV)
4 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.
5 Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.
6 And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison.
7 And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.
8 And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me.
9 And he went out, and followed him; and wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision.
10 When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the angel departed from him.
11 And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that the Lord hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.
12 And when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark; where many were gathered together praying.

MFM Devotional For Today 2026 MESSAGE:
We are looking at the power of corporate prayer today. The English dictionary defines corporate as, “many parts unified into one body or collective.” We can safely say that “It is the potency or capability of many people praying at once. Therefore, beloved the power of corporate prayer cannot be over-emphasized. There is great power in it. And we know that prayer is the staff to walk with God. If you can’t pray, then you cant walk with God. Our Fire Scripture today deals with the topic we are treating. In Acts 12:1-2 Herod vexed the church by stretching his hand to arrest James, the brother of John and killed him. When he saw that it pleased the Jews, he went ahead, arrested Peter and put him in jail, waiting for the time he was going to have him killed. This act of Herod was what galvanized the church into prayer (corporate prayer). The church was praying fervently for Peter’s deliverance on the eve of his assassination when God sent an angel to go and deliver him. The church was praying, and Peter was sleeping peacefully. The angel woke him up and led him out of the prison. Peter didn’t believe he was free at first until he got outside the four walls of the prison.

The church was still praying when he got to the house of Mary, the mother of John Mark whose house the people gathered to pray (v 12). Peter was delivered because of the power of corporate prayers. In our churches today, some people are receiving their miracles because, what they can’t achieve individually in prayer, God does it when they gather with other believers. The word of God is powerful and sharper than any two edged sword. In the book of Hebrews 10:25, the Bible enjoins us not to forsake the assembly of one another, as the customs of some people is. Praying together as a church or family is powerful and profitable.
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
- Herod of my father’s house, I am not your candidate; die, in the name of Jesus.
- I will not die before my time, by the power in the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.
- Any power planning my death shall die in my place, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
- Holy Ghost, enter into my life and destroy the power that darkness is using over my life, in the name of Jesus.
- Anywhere evil has been planned against me, Holy Ghost fire, go there and fight for me, in the name of Jesus.
- Anywhere I go, I shall be outstanding, in the name of Jesus.
- Glory of God, arise upon my life, by the power in the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.
