THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When you work for God, He works on you, works with you, pays your bills and prolongs your days.
Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2026 MESSAGE
Our anchor Scripture reveals to us one of the rare privileges enjoyed by those who work for God – He works with them.
It is important to note that the best government to belong to is the government of God. The best institution to serve is the institution of God, and the best Person to work for is God Himself. There is no government like the government of God, no institution like the institution of God, and no employer like God. To serve Him is the highest honour and the greatest privilege in life.
This is not necessarily about leaving your secular job to become a full-time minister; it is about working for God wherever you are and serving the cause of His Kingdom with your life.
Now, what happens to those who work for God?
- When you work for God, God works on you.
Scripture says in John 15:2, Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
Every fruitful branch is pruned so it may bring forth more fruit. As you serve God, He services and refines you.
- When you work for God, He works with you.
That is why Mark 16:20 says, They went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. If you ever want to see God at work in your business, family, office, or your career, work for Him. When God works with a person, it is called grace, miracles, signs and wonders. - When you work for God, He pays your bills.
Jesus asked His disciples in Luke 22:35, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? They answered, “Nothing”.
That was why He says, Seek ye first the kingdom of God and its righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:33). When you work for God, He pays your bills.
- When you work for God, He prolongs your days.
When you work for God, you are not permitted to die before your time (Exodus 23:25). Those who are committed to God’s assignment are not permitted to be cut short before their time. When you work for God, He prolongs your days.
Beloved, make up your mind to serve God faithfully wherever He has placed you. When you work for God, He works on you, works with you, pays your bills and prolongs your days.
REMEMBER THIS: When you work for God, He works on you, works with you, pays your bills and prolongs your days.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
- Commit yourself wholeheartedly to serving God wherever He has placed you.
- Make Kingdom service a priority in your daily life.
- Trust God to reward your labour with His Presence, provision and preservation.
PRAYER: Father, thank You for the privilege of serving You. Help me to serve You faithfully with all my heart. Let Your Hand continually work on me, work with me, provide for me, and preserve my life, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
