THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: A good understanding of your origin is critical to understanding your destiny.
Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2026 MESSAGE
One of the greatest discoveries in life is the discovery of one’s origin. This is because your origin holds the key to your destiny. Until you understand where you came from, you may never fully know where you are going or what God created you to become. To know where you are coming from is to understand where you are meant to go.
If it was a lion that gave birth to you, then there are things to expect of your life. You are expected to roar.
You are not expected to eat leftover food; you will kill your prey fresh. In the same way, when the origin is known, the destiny can be clear.
Discover Faith Communities
There are two things that show us what to expect from man.
First, God is the origin of man. Genesis 1:27 says, “So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them. Since we have our origin in God, and we know how God is, we understand what our destiny should be.
Second, God made Adam, who functioned in the way of the original human destiny before the fall.
Adam functioned the way humanity was originally designed to function before sin entered the world.
Therefore, if we understand God and understand how Adam functioned before he fell into sin, then we will understand the original human destiny.
What then is human destiny meant to look like?
One major dimension of human destiny is a destiny of spirituality. God is a Spirit, and He made man in His Image. John 4:24 says, “God is a Spirit,” and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” And 2 Corinthians 3:17 says, Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
We were designed by God to live spiritual lives, not merely natural lives. We are not meant to struggle to pray because prayer is our realm. We are not meant to struggle to worship. We are not meant to struggle to hear God. We are not meant to struggle to fellowship with God. That is our realm.
Many people today have more humanity content than spirituality content. The truth is that the body is not the real person; the real person is spiritual. It becomes a problem when the desires for food, clothes, entertainment, and other natural things become stronger than the desire for God.
There is a realm where the desire for God becomes heavier than the desire for food. There is a realm where fellowship with God becomes more fulfilling than natural pleasures. That is the realm God designed man to live in.
REMEMBER THIS: A good understanding of your origin is critical to understanding your destiny.

- Examine your life and identify any natural desires that have become stronger than your desire for God.
- Commit yourself to a deeper life of prayer, worship, and fellowship with God.
- Ask God to restore you to His original design and purpose for your life.
PRAYER: Father, thank You for creating me in Your Image and after Your Likeness. Deliver me from carnality and draw me into deeper intimacy with You.
Help me to live according to Your original purpose and design for my life, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
