BIBLE READING: Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

MESSAGE:

Have you ever wondered why we have different seasons? A good farmer will never joke with seasons because he or she understands that there is a certain season that is best for seed planting so that the seeds can grow and be harvested in another season. This same principle is applicable to life.

My dear child, there is a time for everything on earth, and as a child of God, you are expected to understand seasons so you can do the right things at the right time. For instance, it would be wrong for you to be more concerned about getting married at this stage of your life instead of focusing solely on your studies.

Beloved, having a good understanding of seasons will guide you in your actions. I admonish you today to use your time wisely. You must avoid procrastination and distractions that waste time. Time waits for no one; therefore, ensure that you do the right things at the right time.

PRAYER POINT:
Father, please give me the wisdom to do the right things at the right times.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:

HYMN 55 – Christian, Seek Not Yet Repose

1 Christian, Seek Not Yet Repose;
Hear Thy Guardian Angel Say,
“Thou Art In The Midst Of Foes:
Watch And Pray!”

2 Principalities And Powers,
Mustering Their Unseen Array,
Wait For Thy Unguarded Hours:
“Watch And Pray.”

3 Gird Thy Heavenly Armour On;
Wear It Every Night And Day
Ambush’d Lies The Evil One:
“Watch And Pray.”

4 Hear The Victors Who O’ercame;
Still They Mark Each Warrior’s Way;
All With One Sweet Voice Exclaim,
“Watch And Pray!”

5 Hear, Above AlI, Hear Thy Lord,
Him Thou Lovest To Obey;
Hide Within Thy Heart His Word:
“Watch And Pra!.”

6 Watch, As If On That Alone
Hung The Issue Of The Day;
Pray, That Help May Be Sent Down:
Watch And Pray.
