TOPIC: Abstain From Unholy Desires
READ: Jude 1:17-19
17 But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ:

18 how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts.
19 These are [a]sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit.
THE MESSAGE:
Unholy desires refer to love and passion for actions and behaviours that are against the written and spoken word of God. They also involve granting permission to, giving approval for and encouraging others in such behaviours that are against the will and purpose of God. Such attitudes and behaviours include all forms of sexual immorality, idolatry and ritualism, drug trafficking and use, cultism and violence, cyber fraud and all forms of financial crimes, as well as human trafficking and abuse.
Many Christians today are guilty of these unholy desires and are busy influencing others of their age group. However, we must say no to all forms and appearances of lifestyles that can endanger our future and eternity. Soak yourself daily in the word of God and be rooted in the love of God. Abstain from unholy desires!
PRAYER: Father Almighty, I ask for strength and grace to remain steadfast in You and stay away from all ungodly and unholy desires in Jesus’ Name. Amen!
