Daily devotionals
MEMORISE: Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. Jeremiah 29:12
BIBLE READING: James 5:16-18
16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.
18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.
MESSAGE:
The acronym P.U.S.H simply means Pray Until Something Happens. Persistence in prayers brings about breakthroughs. I remember the testimony of a woman who had been waiting on God for the fruit of the womb. She attended a Holy Ghost Service one September, prayed for fruitfulness, and received a prophecy. However, the prophecy did not come to manifestation. Rather than get discouraged, she kept attending services, asking God to remember her for good. Then, five years later, God answered her prayer, and she came to testify with her bundle of joy in her hands.

My dear child, being persistent in prayer is like hitting a hard spot with drops of water; eventually, the drops of water will cause the hard spot to crack. If you are currently facing any challenge, keep going to God in prayers. It may look like nothing is happening, but your little drops of prayers will cause a lot to happen, and you will surely testify. Your breakthrough will come, your goals will be accomplished, and your desires will be granted. Be persistent in prayers.
KEY POINT:
Don’t stop praying. Your breakthrough is assured.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR
Mark 14:1-25, Deuteronomy 17-19
HYMN 27: What A Friend We Have In Jesus
1 What a Friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer!
2 Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged,
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness,
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
3 Are we weak and heavy-laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge—
Take it to the Lord in prayer;
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer;
In His arms He’ll take and shield thee,
Thou wilt find a solace there
