TOPIC: Giving Brings Blessings (Open Heaven for Teens, 10 February 2026)

MEMORISE: Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” – Luke 6:38

BIBLE READING: 2 Corinthians 9:6-7

Books & Literature

6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

MESSAGE:

Giving is an act of love and obedience that attracts God’s blessings. It is more than sharing your money or material things with others; it also includes giving your time, talents, kindness, and encouragement.

Many people assume that giving is easy, but in reality, only a selfless and compassionate person can truly give. When you give, you reflect the nature of God who gave His most precious gift – Jesus Christ, for our salvation. Every time you bless others with your resources, you demonstrate God’s love and make an impact that goes beyond material gain.

According to Proverbs 11:24, “There is one who scatters, yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty.” This Bible passage shows that generosity leads to an increase, while withholding leads to lack. To enjoy the blessings that come from giving, you need to develop a lifestyle of giving and trusting in God’s provision.

KEY POINT:
Giving unlocks divine blessings for both the giver and the receiver.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Matthew 26:1-19, Leviticus 10-12

HYMN 15: When We Walk With The Lord

1 When we walk with the Lord
in the light of his word,
what a glory he sheds on our way!
While we do his good will,
he abides with us still,
and with all who will trust and obey.

Refrain:
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

2 Not a burden we bear,
not a sorrow we share,
but our toil he doth richly repay;
not a grief or a loss,
not a frown or a cross,
but is blest if we trust and obey. [Refrain]

3 But we never can prove
the delights of his love
until all on the altar we lay;
for the favor he shows,
for the joy he bestows,
are for them who will trust and obey. [Refrain]

4 Then in fellowship sweet
we will sit at his feet,
or we’ll walk by his side in the way;
what he says we will do,
where he sends we will go;
never fear, only trust and obey. [Refrain]
