TOPIC: God Can Overrule (Scroll down for RCCG House Fellowship 28 December 2025 Anthem)
OPENING PRAYER: Father, please overrule every demonic mandate against my glory.
PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE: The leaders should remind the members on beware of negative influence.
MEMORY VERSE: “I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it him.” – Ezekiel 21:27 (KJV)
BIBLE TEXT: 1 Kings 17:4 (KJV)
4 And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there.
LESSON INTRODUCTION: Overturning according to the memory verse is overthrowing the evil mandate until the mandate comes to the right owner, and God said He will give it to him. Our God is a Specialist in allocating what belongs to the right owner, withdrawing it from an illegal occupant. Though Josiah was a young king when he ascended the throne, overturning was implemented by God withdrawing the authority from Queen Athaliah, so no matter what you are passing through, believe God for positive overturning to enthrone your right.
LESSON AIM: To help members know that God can do anything to bring reality to His children’s dreams and rights.
TEACHING OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, members should be well informed that:
- God can break protocol.
- God is sovereign, the supreme ruler with supreme authority
TEXT REVIEW: 1 Kings 17:4
- God has the right to use anything to establish His counsel.
- God’s way is pathfinding, unsearchable, unpredictable; only Him knows the ways to that situation.
- Never underrate anyone, he or she may be on divine help like riven to Elijah.
LESSON OUTLINE ONE: GOD CAN OVERTURN LIMITATIONS
The word limitation means a state of being limited i.e being stopped from reaching one’s target, self-development or goal. In this context, we will be looking at breaking limitations, restrictions, and boundaries one can never attain in life. There are examples in the bible of people that broke limitations, exceeded people’s thoughts about them.
a. Jacob, Genesis 30:30-43. Laban thought he had caged Jacob, but God disappointed him.
b. Esther and Mordecai. Esther 2:16-17,4:14
c. Gideon, Judges 6:12-16
d. David. 1 Samuel 17. Who thought David could kill Goliath with a stone?
e. Four Lepers. 2 Kings 7. What an able army could not do was achieved by lepers with divine assistance. They told themselves, “why sit here until we die”
