TOPIC: Integrity Pays (Open Heaven for Teens, 9 March 2026)

MEMORISE: He who walks with integrity walks securely, But he who perverts his ways will become known. Proverbs 10:9

BIBLE READING: Isaiah 29:13-14

13 Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:

14 Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.

MESSAGE:

Integrity is not only about one’s outward appearance; it is about aligning one’s character with one’s actions. As a child of God, your life is meant to reflect integrity, even when no one is watching.

I have come to realise that integrity brings trust, security, and peace. If you are a person of integrity, your life will attract those who share the right values to you. Some people claim that making upright choices is difficult and inconvenient, so they engage in dishonest acts such as cheating in exams, telling lies to save face, or even mocking people of integrity; that is not Christlike.

My dear child, never joke with integrity. Do all it takes to stand for what is right, even in the face of rejection, mockery, or punishment. It will definitely pay off in the end. Remember that even though Joseph faced hardship, being a person of integrity ultimately brought him favour, good recommendations, and generational blessings. I pray that my Daddy will help you to be Christlike in all your dealings, in Jesus’ name.

REFLECTION:
Are you a person of integrity?

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Mark 12:28-44, Deuteronomy 8-10

HYMN 15: When We Walk With The Lord

1 When we walk with the Lord
in the light of his word,
what a glory he sheds on our way!
While we do his good will,
he abides with us still,
and with all who will trust and obey.

Refrain:
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

2 Not a burden we bear,
not a sorrow we share,
but our toil he doth richly repay;
not a grief or a loss,
not a frown or a cross,
but is blest if we trust and obey.
[Refrain]

3 But we never can prove
the delights of his love
until all on the altar we lay;
for the favor he shows,
for the joy he bestows,
are for them who will trust and obey.
[Refrain]

4 Then in fellowship sweet
we will sit at his feet,
or we’ll walk by his side in the way;
what he says we will do,
where he sends we will go;
never fear, only trust and obey.
[Refrain]
