BIBLE READING: Psalm 118:12-14
12 They compassed me about like bees; they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.
13 Thou hast thrust sore at me that I might fall: but the LORD helped me.
14 The LORD is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.
MESSAGE:
Having lived for over 84 years, I can confidently tell you that life has its ups and downs. No matter how much you desire a smooth journey through life, challenges will sometimes arise in your family, academics, friendships, or personal life. In those moments, you may wonder if things will ever get better, but the good news is that Jesus has promised to be with you through everything that happens to you.

I heard the testimony of a girl who was a sickle-cell patient. Despite her health crisis, she was still committed to serving God. One day, during a campus Holy Ghost Service that we organised many years ago, a word of knowledge came forth that God was changing someone’s blood genotype from SS to AA, and she claimed the miracle by faith. By her next medical check-up, the doctor confirmed that her blood genotype had changed to AA.
My dear child, no matter what you may be going through, please don’t consider leaving God’s presence because that is where you will find strength, courage, and joy to face any trial. Isaiah 43:2 says that when you pass through fire, it will not burn you, and when you walk through deep waters, you will not be overwhelmed because God is with you. I pray that God will grant you the grace to stay in His presence even in the face of trials, in Jesus’ name.
KEY POINT:
No matter what, stay in God’s presence because your strength and joy lie there.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Mark 14:1-25, Deuteronomy 17-19
HYMN 19 – Be Glad In The Lord And Rejoice
1 Be glad in the Lord and rejoice,
All ye that are upright in heart;
And ye that have made him your choice,
Bid sadness and sorrowa depart.
Refrain:
Rejoice, rejoice! Be glad in the Lord and rejoice!
2 What though in the conflict for right
Your enemies almost prevail,
God’s armies, just hid from your sight,
Are more than the foes which assail.
3 Though darkness surround you by day,
Your sky by the night be o’ercast,
Let nothing your spirit dismay,
But trust till the danger is past.
4 Be glad in the Lord and rejoice,
His praises proclaiming in song;
Acclaim him with trumpet and voice,
The loud hallelujahs prolong.
