THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The promises of God are the most viable premises of effective prayer.
Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2026 MESSAGE
Prayer is established on the platform of God’s promises to His people. We gain boldness in prayer because of what God has spoken in His Word concerning our lives.
2 Peter 1:3-4 makes it clear that God has already given us all things that pertain unto life and godliness through His exceeding great and precious promises. These promises form the foundation upon which we stand in prayer.
The promises of God are also reiterated in Deuteronomy 28:1-2, where the Scripture says that if we diligently obey the Voice of the Lord, His blessings shall come upon us and overtake us.
Beloved, effective prayer is not empty talking; it is standing on what God has said. We approach God in prayer from the standpoint of divine promises.

This was the secret behind Elijah’s prayer on Mount Carmel.
In 1 Kings 18:36, Elijah prayed, Hear me, O Lord, that all these people may know that Thou hast done all these things at Thy word. Elijah prayed based on God’s promise and instruction. He was not experimenting with prayer; he was standing on the integrity of God’s Word.
And as Elijah prayed, the Bible says in 1 Kings 18:37-38 that the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the sacrifice, the wood, the stones, the dust, and even the water in the trench.
The promises of God are the most viable premises of prayer. When you stand on His promises, your confidence in prayer increases. The clearer the promises of God are to you, the stronger and more forceful your prayers become.
That is why everyone who desires to pray effectively must be rooted in the Word of God. Hosea 14:2 says, Take with you words, and turn to the Lord. In other words, “Gather the promises of God and approach Him with them in prayer.”
Beloved, when you know what God has promised, you will pray with boldness and confidence. His promises are unchanging, and those who stand upon them can never be disappointed.
REMEMBER THIS: The promises of God are the most viable premises of effective prayer.
