It has been confirmed that spiritual power is the strength of physical authority. Most times, when you see people in some form of unquestionable authority, spiritual power is behind them.
Sometime ago, a military officer was sent on an assignment to handle certain agents of evil – some bandits or terrorists. So, he went with his men for that assignment. They confronted a mysterious situation: as they were shooting, the leader of the terrorist group was advancing towards them unharmed. He had fortified himself with some diabolic powers, so the bullets could not penetrate him.

Before their next engagement however, the military officer had anointed with oil the arms of his men with a bottle of oil I had previously prayed on. The first gunshot afterwards was the last; the leader of the terrorists was wasted. That was how superior spiritual power handled an inferior spiritual power. There are powers, but when two powers meet, the lesser power must bow.
Beloved, you need spiritual power to survive in this wicked world. People put charms in their tongue to speak and convince people. You see a grown-up man quaking in front of a little girl or a little boy who came to subdue him with evil power.
Elijah was a Scriptural example of someone who was in charge in his days by virtue of spiritual power. He was practically in charge of Israel in the days of Ahab and Jezebel by the instrumentality of the power of God (1Kings 17:1). In 1Kings 18:24, he called on God and He (God) answered by fire.
Now, how do we take charge by power? In today’s study, we shall be looking at one of the ways to take charge by power, and that is by overcoming all the forces of the enemy.
Luke 10:19 says, Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Beloved, it takes power to overcome the forces of the enemy; and you can only take charge when you have overcome them. Maybe there is a binding spell or limitation in your lineage, family, or community that says, nobody should grow up to a certain level, it is the Power of God that will nullify such a spell or limitation and distinguish you.
At the beginning of our Ministry, I met a young man whose grandfather and father were native doctors (witchdoctors). And so, none of his family members had gone beyond secondary school education. What happened? One of them was meant to inherit the tradition of being a native doctor (witchdoctor), but they all refused. Because of that, the evil spirits behind their ancestral diabolic altar decided to punish them by limiting their lives and destinies.
That was what made this young man to come to me. I prayed with him and imparted on him rugged spiritual power that broke that spell of limitation. He became the first to go to university in his family and graduated with a BSc Accounting. This was because the Power of God that came on him was stronger than the evil power that was trying to stop him.
Beloved, it is powerlessness that makes people become cheap victims of the forces of the enemy. You need spiritual power to overcome the negative forces resisting your life, family, business, career or Ministry.
Remember this: It takes power to overcome the forces of the enemy.

- Spend time with God and His Word to acquire His Power.
- Desperately make demands on God for the release of His power on your life.
PRAYER: I overcome every ancestral curse, generational curse or family covenant resisting my life and destiny by the Power of God, in the Name of Jesus Christ!
