SCRIPTURE: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When you touch people with love, you can reach them
Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2026 MESSAGE
It has been confirmed throughout Scripture that we are saved to save others. The Bible says in Matthew 5:14-16, Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Part of these “Good works” from the above Scripture are ‘charitable deeds’, the type we heard about Dorcas when she died. The widows brought in the things she had given them.
Dorcas’ benevolence impacted the widows positively. I’m sure there were widows amongst them who came to know the Lord because Dorcas ministered to them and their children (Acts 9:36-42).
This is the demonstration of God’s love, the same love that brought Jesus into the world. This is where you preach the gospel through the show of kindness, using the love of God to touch the lost.
One of our sisters in Church said that when she went to a certain part of town some time ago, she saw how deplorable the living conditions of many people were and decided to do a feeding program as part of her evangelism, and the impact was very drastic.
If we must reach out to souls, we must reach out in love, touching the less privileged, assisting people in need and showing them the love of Christ through genuine kindness.
Do you know it was kindness that saved the woman who was caught in adultery in John 8:10-11?
When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
When you touch people with love, you can reach them. Touch them to reach them; touch their hearts so you can reach them.
Just looking at someone and telling them, “I want to pray with you,” and asking if anything is bothering them is part of charity evangelism. It is all about showing concern and love for people.
Beloved, go through your neighbourhood, identify people who are stranded and frustrated, and then reach out to them. Flow in charity, caring for people and loving them into the kingdom.
REMEMBER THIS: When you touch people with love, you can reach them
