MEMORISE: “And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.” – 2 Chronicles 20:20 (KJV)
READ: 2 Chronicles 20:1-30 (KJV)
1 It came to pass after this also, that the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, and with them other beside the Ammonites, came against Jehoshaphat to battle.
2 Then there came some that told Jehoshaphat, saying, There cometh a great multitude against thee from beyond the sea on this side Syria; and, behold, they be in Hazazontamar, which is Engedi.
3 And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the Lord, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.
4 And Judah gathered themselves together, to ask help of the Lord: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek the Lord.
5 And Jehoshaphat stood in the congregation of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the Lord, before the new court,
6 And said, O Lord God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee?
Heaven-inspired devotional
7 Art not thou our God, who didst drive out the inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and gavest it to the seed of Abraham thy friend for ever?
8 And they dwelt therein, and have built thee a sanctuary therein for thy name, saying,
9 If, when evil cometh upon us, as the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we stand before this house, and in thy presence, (for thy name is in this house,) and cry unto thee in our affliction, then thou wilt hear and help.
10 And now, behold, the children of Ammon and Moab and mount Seir, whom thou wouldest not let Israel invade, when they came out of the land of Egypt, but they turned from them, and destroyed them not;
11 Behold, I say, how they reward us, to come to cast us out of thy possession, which thou hast given us to inherit.
12 O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee.
13 And all Judah stood before the Lord, with their little ones, their wives, and their children.
14 Then upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, came the Spirit of the Lord in the midst of the congregation;
15 And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the Lord unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.
16 To morrow go ye down against them: behold, they come up by the cliff of Ziz; and ye shall find them at the end of the brook, before the wilderness of Jeruel.
17 Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the Lord will be with you.
18 And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the Lord, worshipping the Lord.
19 And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites, and of the children of the Korhites, stood up to praise the Lord God of Israel with a loud voice on high.
20 And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
21 And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the Lord, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the Lord; for his mercy endureth for ever.
22 And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.
23 For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another.
24 And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped.
25 And when Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away the spoil of them, they found among them in abundance both riches with the dead bodies, and precious jewels, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away: and they were three days in gathering of the spoil, it was so much.
26 And on the fourth day they assembled themselves in the valley of Berachah; for there they blessed the Lord: therefore the name of the same place was called, The valley of Berachah, unto this day.
27 Then they returned, every man of Judah and Jerusalem, and Jehoshaphat in the forefront of them, to go again to Jerusalem with joy; for the Lord had made them to rejoice over their enemies.
28 And they came to Jerusalem with psalteries and harps and trumpets unto the house of the Lord.
29 And the fear of God was on all the kingdoms of those countries, when they had heard that the Lord fought against the enemies of Israel.
30 So the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet: for his God gave him rest round about.

Heaven-inspired devotional
As I conclude my discussion about divine visitation today, let me mention that another divine visitor you can receive is a minister of God. In 1 Samuel 1:9-20, Hannah was in Shiloh praying passionately, and God sent His prophet to her. The prophet simply issued a decree, and her womb was opened. In 1 Samuel 16:11-13, God sent another prophet to visit David and anoint him as king. Also, in 1 Kings 19:15-21, when the time came for Elisha to begin to fulfil his purpose, God sent a prophet, Elijah, to throw his mantle on him.
Whenever God sends one of His ministers to you, believe what God has sent him or her to say to you. When Elisha decreed God’s word during the severe famine in Samaria that food would become very surplus and cheap overnight, a top government official doubted it. He couldn’t believe how such a terrible famine, during which women ate their children to survive, would disappear overnight. However, Elisha wasn’t speaking his own words; He was speaking God’s word, and it came to pass (2 Kings 7:1-16).
When God sends His word through His ministers, anything is possible. The unbelief of the officer described in the paragraph above prevented him from partaking in the overnight miracle. He saw the miracle, but he didn’t partake of it because he spoke against God’s word (2 Kings 7:17). I pray that you will receive every word that God sends to you through His ministers in faith, in Jesus’ name.
In today’s text, we see how three countries joined themselves together against Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah. The situation was terrible, but instead of giving in to fear, Jehoshaphat proclaimed a fast and asked his people to join him. As they prayed and sought God’s face together, His word came through Jahaziel, one of the Levites. God told them to relax because they wouldn’t need to fight the battle. He asked them to stand still and see His salvation (2 Chronicles 20:14-17). Humanly speaking, it was foolish to stand still when enemies were closing in on all sides. However, Jehoshaphat and the people believed God’s word and the prophets He spoke through.
Beloved, God’s word will sometimes defy human explanation and challenge human reasoning. However, God will always be God. If a genuine minister of God gives you a message from God, believe him or her and act accordingly. Believe God’s prophets, and you will surely prosper and be established (2 Chronicles 20:20).
KEY POINT
When you believe God’s word through His ministers, you will prosper and be established
HYMN 30 – When We Walk With The Lord
1 When we walk with the Lord
in the light of his word,
what a glory he sheds on our way!
While we do his good will,
he abides with us still,
and with all who will trust and obey.
Refrain:
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.
2 But we never can prove
the delights of his love
until all on the altar we lay;
for the favor he shows,
and the joy he bestows,
are for them who will trust and obey.
[Refrain]
3 Then in fellowship sweet
we will sit at his feet,
or we’ll walk by his side in the way;
what he says we will do,
where he sends we will go;
never fear, only trust and obey. [Refrain]

Open Heaven For Today 2025 MESSAGE
I started discussing about divine visitation yesterday, and I said that people can have a divine encounter with God through His word. Today, in continuing my discussion, I will point out another way by which believers can receive divine visitation.
The Bible tells us in Hebrews 1:13-14 that angels are ministering spirits that are sent by God to minister to people. Sometimes, when God wants to visit His children, He sends His angels as divine visitors. For example, in Judges 13:1-25, when God wanted to tell Manoah that he and his wife would give birth to Samson, He sent an angel. Likewise, in Luke 1:8-20, when God wanted to tell Zechariah that he would have a child, He also sent an angel as His messenger. You may ask, “How will I even recognise an angel if one comes to me?”
Occasionally, the angel that God will send to you could be a human being. For example, in 2 Kings 5:1-14, the angel that God sent to Naaman when it was time for his divine visitation was a maid. It was the girl who said to his wife, “I know where my master can get his healing.” There are many stories of human beings that God used to bring certain people to the fullness of their purpose. May God send such destiny helpers to you speedily, in Jesus’ name.
Beloved, you must be hospitable to everyone you meet. This is because you do not know if the angel that God is sending to you will come in human form. Hebrews 13:2 says, “Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.” Imagine if Naaman’s wife had maltreated their maid, he would have probably died a leper. Some people have sent their angels away with their terrible behaviours; do not be like them. Apostle Paul reminds us in Galatians 6:10:
As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
Beloved, you must do good to everybody, regardless of their tribe, religion, social or financial status, or age, because you never can tell if they are angels that God is sending to you. Your kindness can open doors of abundant blessings to you. I pray that you will show kindness to the angels God sends your way so that you do not miss your divine visitation, in Jesus’ name.
KEY POINT
As much as you can, do good to all men.
HYMN 28 – Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah
1 Guide me, O Thou great Jehovah!
Pilgrim through this barren land;
I am weak, but Thou art mighty,
Hold me with Thy powerful hand:
Bread of heaven! Bread of heaven!
Feed me now and evermore (2ce)
2 Open Thou the crystal fountain,
Whence the healing stream doth flow:
Let the fiery, cloudy pillar
Lead me all my journey through:
Strong deliverer! strong deliverer!
Be Thou still my strength and shield (2ce)
3 If I tread the verge of Jordan,
Bid my anxious fears subside:
Bear me through the swelling torrent,
Land me safe on Canaan’s side:
Songs of praises! songs of praises!
I will ever give to Thee (2ce)
4 Saviour, come! We long to see Thee,
Long to dwell with Thee above;
And to know in full communion,
All the sweetness of Thy love.
Come, Lord Jesus! Come, Lord Jesus!
Take Thy waiting people home (2ce)

TOPIC: Divine Visitation (1)
MEMORISE: “And the Lord visited Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did unto Sarah as he had spoken.” – Genesis 21:1 (KJV)
READ: Genesis 18:1-14 (KJV)
1 And the Lord appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;
2 And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground,
3 And said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:
4 Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:
5 And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your servant. And they said, So do, as thou hast said.
6 And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes upon the hearth.
7 And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetcht a calf tender and good, and gave it unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it.
8 And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.
9 And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent.
10 And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.
11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.
12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?
13 And the Lord said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?
14 Is any thing too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 2 Chronicles 21-24
Open Heaven For Today 2025 MESSAGE
In today’s Bible reading, Abraham got a divine visitation that turned his story around for good. For many years before that time, God had made promises to him, but he was still waiting for them to be fulfilled. His wife, Sarah, had even given up hope completely. However, after the divine visitation, laughter followed. For the next few days, I will discuss more about divine visitation.
There is something special about the visitation that Abraham experienced. The Bible says that the LORD visited him, and he lifted up his eyes and saw three men. I believe that one of them was God Himself because when you read carefully, you will find out that the Bible referred to the One speaking among them as ‘LORD’ (Genesis 18:13). This means that your divine visitor can be God Himself. For example, in 2 Chronicles 1:6-12, it was God Himself that appeared to Solomon.
You may say, “How can I expect God Himself to pay me a visit?” In John 1:1, the Bible says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” Your divine visitor can be the Word. In Psalm 107:20, the Bible says that God sent His word, and it healed them and delivered them from their destruction. In 1 Kings 17:2, the Bible says that the word of God came to Elijah. Also, in 1 Kings 18:1, the word of God came again to Elijah with an instruction, “No more hiding.” I pray that God’s word will pay you a visit today, in Jesus’ name.
Some people have prayed, and God has heard them; however, He is waiting for them to study their Bibles so they can receive the Word He has sent to them to meet their needs and solve their problems.
When God sends His word, healing and deliverance follows, and everything that previously looked impossible will suddenly become possible. Are you aware that God has already sent His word to you and that His word says He has supplied all your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19)?
Beloved, you do not have to wait for the next big revival or miracle service to have a divine encounter. God has sent His word to you already, and you can experience His divine touch just by engaging with the pages of your Bible. God’s word carries His power; engage with it regularly, and you will not miss your time of divine visitation, in Jesus’ name.
KEY POINT
You can have a divine encounter with God by studying your Bible diligently.
HYMN 15 – Pass Me Not, O Gentle Saviour
1 Pass me not, O gentle Savior
Hear my humble cry,
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.
Savior, Savior,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.
2 Let me at a throne of mercy
Find a sweet relief;
Kneeling there in deep contrition
Help my unbelief.
3 Trusting only in Thy merit
Would I seek Thy face
Heal my wounded, broken spirit,
Save me by Thy grace.
4 Thou the Spring of all my comfort
More than life to me
Whom have I on earth beside Thee
Whom in heav’n but Thee?
