TOPIC: Understanding Tithing (Open Heaven for Teens, 12 February 2026)
MEMORISE: Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the LORD of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it. Malachi 3:10
BIBLE READING: Genesis 14:18-20
18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.
19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:
20 And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.
MESSAGE:
Tithing is a divine principle that involves setting aside a tenth of one’s income as an offering to God. Some years ago, I publicly withdrew a message that wrongly stated that non-tithers will not make it to heaven. The truth is, tithing is not a qualification for salvation, but it is a key that unlocks divine blessings, as promised in today’s memory verse. It is more than a financial obligation; it is an acknowledgement that God is your ultimate Source.

My dear child, do not hinder God’s blessings in your life by ignoring this act of obedience. Each time you receive an income, whether from earnings, gifts, or any other increase, set aside one-tenth of it and give it to your local church, or the place where you receive spiritual nourishment. Your tithe helps sustain mission activities and outreaches to the needy and underprivileged, thereby making you a partner with God.
KEY POINT:
When you obey God through tithing, you make yourself a partner with Him.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Matthew 26:55-75, Leviticus 14
HYMN 15: When We Walk With The Lord
1 When we walk with the Lord
in the light of his word,
what a glory he sheds on our way!
While we do his good will,
he abides with us still,
and with all who will trust and obey.
Refrain:
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.
2 Not a burden we bear,
not a sorrow we share,
but our toil he doth richly repay;
not a grief or a loss,
not a frown or a cross,
but is blest if we trust and obey. [Refrain]
3 But we never can prove
the delights of his love
until all on the altar we lay;
for the favor he shows,
for the joy he bestows,
are for them who will trust and obey. [Refrain]
4 Then in fellowship sweet
we will sit at his feet,
or we’ll walk by his side in the way;
what he says we will do,
where he sends we will go;
never fear, only trust and obey. [Refrain]
