TOPIC: Unshakable Love (Open Heaven for Teens, 12 April 2026)
MEMORISE: Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. – Romans 8:37

BIBLE READING: Romans 8:31-39 (KJV)
31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.
34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
MESSAGE:
As a human being, one of your deepest desires is love and acceptance, which is completely natural. Many young people, however, seek love in the wrong places, leading to regret and heartbreak. Beloved, you don’t have to chase after people’s approval or affection desperately. People may reject you, misunderstand you, or make you feel unworthy, but God is different; His love never fails, discriminates, or despises you.
God loves you at your best and even in your weakest moments. His love remains unshakeable even when you make mistakes, as long as you genuinely turn back to Him in repentance. While sin may cause God to turn His face away from a person, true repentance always brings His mercy and restoration back to such a fellow.
My dear child, don’t let your past, fears, or mistakes separate you from God’s love. Prioritise your relationship with Him, and ensure that nothing hinders your connection with your Creator. I pray that as you do this, He will reveal His unshakeable love to you, in Jesus’ name.
Quiz: According to today’s devotional, mention two characteristics of the love of God.
KEY POINT:
God’s love for you is immeasurable.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Mark 14:26-50, Deuteronomy 20-22
HYMNAL 17: God Sent His Son, They Called Him Jesus
1 God sent His son,
They called Him, Jesus;
He came to love,
Heal and forgive;
He lived and died
To buy my pardon,
An empty grave is there
To prove my Savior lives!
Chorus
Because He lives,
I can face tomorrow!
Because He lives,
All fear is gone.
Because I know
He holds the future,
And life is worth the living,
Just because He lives!
2 How sweet to hold
A newborn baby,
And feel the pride
And joy he brings;
But greater still
The calm assurance:
This child can face
Uncertain days because He Lives!
Chorus
Because He lives,
I can face tomorrow!
Because He lives,
All fear is gone.
Because I know
He holds the future,
And life is worth the living,
Just because He lives!
3 And then one day,
I’ll cross the river,
I’ll fight life’s final
War with pain;
And then, as death
Gives way to victory,
I’ll see the lights of glory
And I’ll know He lives!
Chorus
Because He lives,
I can face tomorrow!
Because He lives,
All fear is gone.
Because I know
He holds the future,
And life is worth the living,
Just because He lives!
