TOPIC – Keep Your Flesh In Check (Open Heaven for Teens, 20 June 2026)
MEMORISE: I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Galatians 5:16
READ: Titus 2:11-12
- For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
- Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
MESSAGE:
To keep one’s flesh in check means keeping it subject to the dictates of the Holy Spirit. Today’s memory verse tells us that the way to keep the flesh in check is by walking in the Spirit. When you walk in the Spirit, you receive guidance on how to live according to God’s will. However, when you are given to excessive pleasure, food, entertainment, sleep, et cetera, the flesh takes control and influences your thoughts and actions, making it difficult for you to walk in the Spirit.

Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: – Colossians 3:5
My dear child, in order to put your flesh in check, you should fast and pray regularly.
You should also read and meditate on the word of God at all times. Also, fellowshipping with other Christians will help subdue lustful desires and strengthen your spirit man. I charge you again; keep your flesh in check by walking in the Spirit.
