READ: Exodus 4:1-2,10-11

1 And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not appeared unto thee.

2 And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod.

10 And Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.

11 And the LORD said to him, Who made man's mouth? Or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? Have not I the LORD?

MESSAGE

When God called Moses to go and deliver the children of Israel from the hands of Pharaoh, he struggled with the instruction. He argued with God by presenting his weaknesses, including his speech impairment – he was a stammerer. However, God asked him, "What is in your hand?"

Some things are in your life that God expects you to engage with for your breakthrough but that you are yet to discover. Some people are easily distracted by what they do not have, thinking that if only they had more money, came from a wealthy home, owned a bigger phone, or got a better opportunity, they would achieve incredible feats. However, God is calling their attention to focus on what they have – what He has given them already.

This year, like never before, focus on the people, situations, and resources around you. They may appear insignificant and of little value, but don't underestimate the great things they can do in your life.

REFLECTION

Father, please open my eyes to see the resources you have placed in my life.

HYMN 3 – Draw Me Nearer

1 I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice,
And it told Thy love to me;
But I long to rise in the arms of faith,
And be closer drawn to Thee.

CHORUS:
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
To the cross where Thou hast died;
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
To Thy precious, bleeding side.

2 Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord,
By the power of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
And my will be lost in Thine.

3 Oh, the pure delight of a single hour
That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God,
I commune as friend with friend!

4 There are depths of love that I cannot know
Till I cross the narrow sea;
There are heights of joy that I may not reach
Till I rest in peace with Thee,

Ambydennis Notice Board: We trust you have been blessed by the devotional. Accepting Jesus as your Lord and personal Savior is one of the best decisions, especially for you; imagine having Christ in your life; what a fantastic experience it will be. It starts here as you proclaim: Dear Father, I humbly come to you in sincere repentance, claiming you as my Lord and personal Saviour. Cleanse me from all unrighteousness, be the center of my life, and let my life revolve around you as I partake in the eternal life you gave us in Jesus' Name. Congratulations, you are now Born again. God bless you.
